Deliveroo has teamed up with the Trussell Trust to launch ‘Collecteroo’, an initiative that will collect unused and in-date food items from people’s doorsteps and deliver directly to a local food bank in the Trussell Trust network.
This comes after research has revealed almost three-quarters (74%) of people in the UK have unopened items that they would happily donate to food banks.
‘Collecteroo’ is being trialled in FIVE major cities* in the UK: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Glasgow. See specific postcodes that we will be collecting from within the drop down box on the right.
Type of food for collection: Tinned fruit, tinned meat/fish, UHT Milk, tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, sponge or rice puddings, long-life juice, tea/coffee, soup.
Add in your details on the right for a chance to take part.
*If you do not live in one of the areas which Collecteroo is being trialled in, but would still like to support a food bank in the Trussell Trust network, head to the Trussell Trust website to find out how you can help.
Applications open between 8th November 2022 until the 28th November 2022. Geographical restrictions apply and participation is limited according to availability. 18 plus only. By entering, you confirm that only products listed in the above list of goods will be donated and all donated products have a minimum three months expiry period.
Unfortunately the window to apply for the Collecteroo initiative has now closed, but please visit the Trussell Trust website to see how you can donate to your local food bank.
